Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

Plain English summary

  • Use TravelVulture as a regular human, not a bot or scraper.
  • Prices we display are estimates — your actual booking happens on the partner's site at their price.
  • Reviews and submissions you post must be your own work, accurate, and non-harmful.
  • We can suspend abusive accounts; you can close yours any time.

1. Acceptance

By using TravelVulture you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old. If you're making a booking on behalf of someone else, you must have their permission.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your password secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We use httpOnly cookies for session security; that helps, but a leaked password still puts your account at risk.

4. Prices & bookings

The prices shown on TravelVulture are estimates based on partner data, currency conversion, and historical averages. The actual price you pay is set by the partner site at the moment of booking. We do not guarantee availability or price match. All bookings, refunds, and changes are handled by the partner — TravelVulture is not a travel agent and does not hold your booking.

5. Curated trips

Trips listed under /curated are operated by partner companies we've vetted. Booking those trips creates a contract between you and the operator — we facilitate but are not the operator of record. Operator terms apply in addition to ours.

6. User content

When you submit a review, challenge entry, or destination suggestion:

  • It must be your own original work or properly attributed.
  • It must not contain hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or illegal content.
  • You grant TravelVulture a non-exclusive licence to display and re-share it.
  • We may moderate, edit, or remove content that breaks these rules.

7. Prohibited use

Don't:

  • Scrape the site beyond what robots.txt permits.
  • Spam reviews, vote-stuff challenges, or evade rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer protected parts of the platform.
  • Use TravelVulture to facilitate anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

8. Affiliate disclosure

TravelVulture earns commission from outbound clicks and bookings on partner sites (Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak, Viator, Airbnb, and others). This never increases the price you pay. We disclose the commercial relationship here and on relevant pages.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that prices are current, that destinations are safe, or that the site will be uninterrupted. Travel involves real-world risk — research your destination, buy insurance, and check your government's travel advisories.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TravelVulture is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from any booking made via a partner. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the prior 12 months.

11. Termination

You can close your account anytime via the contact page. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — typically after a warning, immediately for serious abuse.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post changes here with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where TravelVulture is incorporated. Disputes must be brought in those courts.
